Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary Club are delighted with the success of the 2nd Dorchester Marathon and Casterbridge Half on May 27th 2018 and are most grateful for the enormous support from Councils, local businesses, runners  and the host of wonderful volunteers and supporters who make this such a special community event and a showcase for Dorchester and its surrounding villages.

The team are now planning the 2019 event on 26th May and look forward to continuing to develop the Marathon to the economic benefit of the area and our local organisations and charities.

We have welcomed our partnership with White Star Running in setting up and establishing this unique event over the past 4 years and are most grateful to them for their invaluable support and expertise. However, White Star Running have decided not to be involved in the 2019 event and consequently we are exploring other partnerships to take this very special event forward and into the next stage of its development.

Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary are delighted to be working in association with White Star Running to provide the second Dorchester Marathon and Casterbridge Half, through which we will be raising funds for the Air Ambulance, local charities and good causes, and our own charity work.

Whether we are helping in a worldwide campaign to eradicate Polio, providing Shelter Boxes following a disaster, or working in Dorchester to support charitable groups and those in need, our aim is make people’s life better wherever we can, and enjoy ourselves while doing so!

White Star Running has a reputation for staging remarkable trail running events, solely designed with the runner in mind.
They have now brought their unique style of event to the roads with the advent of the Dorchester marathon.

“We are pleased and honoured to be working with Dorchester based Casterbridge Rotary Club to create a fantastic race weekend.”

We like to think our inaugural event in 2017 was a big success. Take a look at some of the photos from the event then book your entry before its too late.

We sold out long before the closing date and had quite a waiting list. As the saying goes, book early to avoid disappointment.
